COURSE ARCHITECTURE
Annual course of 50 hours given in blocks of 2 hours on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., i.e. 13 courses per semester
which will be given from November 26, 2018.
TEACHING TOOLS
– At the Faculty
The lecture will be the main pedagogical tool for theoretical training. Role-playing can be
used for questioning and additional examinations. Practical work will be proposed for
learning the ECG.
– To the hospital (not included in the announced hourly volume)
The practical training in the hospital must complement the lecture. The two courses will be coordinated
over time to help students better establish their knowledge.
EDUCATIONAL GOALS
The teaching of cardiology to the students of the UE30 of Medicine of DCEM 2 will be done according to an approach by
competence which will allow the learner who follows the cardiology module to be able to:
1-Evoke a set of pathologiesfrom a cardiovascular symptom
2-Diagnose cardiovascular disease(from a syndromic summary and examinations
complementary)
3- Treat cardiovascular disease
The teaching will focus on diagnostic strategies, exploration strategies and therapeutic strategies that
allow adequate management of the patient suffering from a cardiovascular pathology.
Each specific objective will be the subject of action to be taken in an emergency situation if necessary.
